Cosmetic acupuncture is a relatively new and unknown form of acupuncture in the west
But this form of facial acupuncture has been used for a very long time in Asia and recently in America by people who want a healthier, fresher, radiant appearance but don’t want cosmetic surgery, botox or fillers or for whom a treatment from a beautician doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Cosmetic acupuncture or facial rejuvenation as it is also called, treats more than 
just the outside, apart from making you look better it also treats the rest of your body and your inner health. It is a holistic approach to facial treatments that goes down to the root of your facial problems. Your face mirrors your health.
In acupuncture we use facial diagnosis, parts of your face mirror the state of your organs , points on your feet might be used to lesten dark cirkles around the eyes for example. Or the broken cappiliaries on your cheeks might have to do with heat in your stomach etc.
Facial acupuncture is also used to stimulate collagenproduction, tighten the skin of your face, lesten dark cirkles, make pores smaller, lift the eyelids and cheeks, improve hormonal balance and bring out your inner beauty.
What can I expect when I come for a cosmetic acupuncture treatment?
A cosmetic acupuncture treatment takes 1,5 hours and starts with an anamnesis, followed by acupuncture on your body and after that on your face. After the needles are taken out again i end the session with a relaxing face massage with relaxing facial oil.
This type of acupuncture is done with even thinner , smaller disposable needles than regular acupuncture. People usually find it very relaxing and calming.
To get a good result a series of 10-12 weekly treatments is recommended. After 5 treatments you usually start to see a noticable change . After that it’s good to keep it up every 6 weeks or so.
Costs: 135 euro per 1,5 hour treatment. (Please note: This treatment is not covered by health insurance)
